I can't believe I haven't been there sooner. It was phenomenal. It was so cool to see all the different books, magazines, flyers from all over Texas. A theater room with museum of Mr rogers. So cool, he knew many celebrities from Muhammad Ali, to Mario Andretti. Had a letter from George Bush addressed to his wife after he had passed. Unbelievable the impact he had made.
Jul 9, 2026 · Google ReviewLaRue (sorry if misspelled) and Jesse were great. Larue was super friendly and helpful. We're touring through Texas' small towns and she was very knowledgeable! Thank you guys for representing Texas well.

Apr 8, 2026 · Google ReviewI stopped by this travel center today and had a really great experience. Marci and another staff member were so sweet and kind, which made me feel very welcome right away. The entire place was clean and well maintained, including the restrooms, which I really appreciate when traveling. It’s clear that they take pride in both their service and the environment. Definitely a great place to stop if you’re on the road!
Apr 3, 2026 · Google ReviewGeorge & Celia (sorry if I got the spelling incorrect) greeted me as I walked in the door. I stopped because I wanted to get a closer look at the big colorful Beaumont sign I spotted from the expressway. Makes for a great photo opp. Also on site is a veteran's memorial, and a neat Love sculpture in front of the building. Inside, there is a Janis Joplin mural as she was born nearby and went to Lamar. There is a vintage 1949 MG TC. And a smaller Love sculpture patriotically painted. Among tons of literature on all things Texas. Make sure to stop when in the area. Staff is super friendly. Plus you can get free wildflower seeds if you ask at the desk. Bonus.
