I'll swing back for a final chapter; but after 2 visits, I understand the vibe. The first visit; I had figured out enough where as I can confidently write that the "affliction" based owner gave off weird vibes as his wife (the baretender) casually shot the shit with me acquiring my drink order. Not once but twice; his vibes weren't cool. The atmosphere otherwise was chill, a needed change for the area. PS: You never know your audience; don't scare your customers off. See you soon.

If you're looking for a laid-back spot with charm, character, and plenty to do, Soggy Bottom Saloon checks every box. Nestled in a beautiful outdoor setting with the option to sit inside, this place offers a perfect mix of fresh air and comfort. Inside, there's no shortage of space — with pool tables, ample seating, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. One of the first things we appreciated was that it’s a non-smoking environment indoors — a huge plus. The prices are more than fair, especially considering the experience you’re getting. Everywhere you look, the saloon is decked out with cool decorations and historical touches. Knowing that country legend George Jones recorded his first song here just adds to the rich, authentic vibe. The place is also very veteran-friendly, which we truly appreciate. The staff couldn’t have been nicer — friendly, fast, and always smiling. And if you're into music, you're in luck — the tunes here are consistently great, adding to the good-time atmosphere. But the highlight for us? Feeding the giant catfish for just a small fee. It’s fun, a little quirky, and surprisingly exciting! Add that to how impressively clean the whole place is, and you’ve got yourself a winning combination. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Soggy Bottom Saloon is well worth the stop. A hidden gem that offers way more than your average bar.
