Set on the backside of downtown Beaumont is a Catholic church Cathedral beautiful lines against the absent buildings that used to surround this church. I was not able to go inside, but I still wanted to post the pictures.

I went on a photography tour and this was absolutely beautiful and sacred. It didn't feel right taking pictures even though I did. Everything architecturally was intentional and a confession of faith. As a Lutheran I can't confess to everything the building confesses. However as a lover of theology I can respect it and understand the inclusion. The decon present was friendly and knowledgeable. Thank y'all for allowing us to visit.

Beaumont has this beautiful cathedral just off of the interstate. There's lots of parking. I went into the parish office, they unlocked the door, I toured the basilica and a Deacon chatted with me. I found it both moving and impressive.

From the outside the place looks great. I had a personal interest in the visit, I went to visit the grave of Bishop Vincent Harris. He is my dad's brother and I had not been there in years. Three of my siblings and myself we're passing nearby and decided to go visit it. They have really made it nice.
