"Tex" Ritter Historical Park
Start your day at this 40-foot-tall Dutch Windmill Museum in Tex Ritter Park. The windmill museum was a project of the Nederland Chamber of Commerce; and built as a tribute to the heritage of Nederland, Texas, settled by immigrants from Holland in 1898. The citizens of the city erected an exact replica of a Dutch Windmill. The design was one of many used in Holland and the 40-foot tall structure houses a Museum.

Loved doing a Service Project here with our Young Mens Youth Group, we helped with landscaping. Everyone was so nice. They told us history, helped point out the little areas on the property that needed cleaning. Even helped us pick out our lunch spot, it was great!
