It's a sports bar so it smells like cigarettes but Gumbo is world class best in Port Arthur at a restaurant and I was raised here and related to all the toups and labove and can tell you that the gumbo rivals my mother's.

Hadn’t been since I was a kid. It had been a long minute and they didn’t disappoint. Also got a patty melt with tator tots. It was really good, I think the wings topped off everything.

Lively at the late hours. They have really good food and friendly staff. Pool and darts in one corner if your into that. They are working on the menu as well so I think it's only going to get better. They also bring in local bands like the Regan Woodside Band. So bring dancing shoes.

So I had to learn the hard way that this is basically an older all white bar. They don't serve anything but beer but you can bring your own liquor and they provide the set-up for you. The waitress, the food, and the live band were awesome. I think they only played the few cultural songs they did play because my husband is of color but it was chill nonetheless. It's great if you are looking for the lonesome heartbreak scene but otherwise naw. Definitely not inviting for a younger crowd. Thank you to the waitress who served us though😊
